Innea Aqua is an advanced-technology biological lifting and dermo-regeneration application that repairs the skin’s biological structure and provides tightening without adding volume to the tissue, thanks to its combination of high-concentration hyaluronic acid and trehalose. Unlike traditional filler methods, this treatment does not merely fill the skin mechanically; it triggers collagen production by optimizing fibroblast activity and increases the skin’s capacity for self-renewal. It is a powerful rejuvenation protocol, clinically proven to have a biostimulation effect, used in aesthetic surgical practice to improve tissue quality, halt glycation-related aging, and naturally restore the skin’s lost elasticity.

What Is Innea Aqua?

Innea Aqua is a dietary supplement formulated to support skin health, generally containing hyaluronic acid and antioxidant ingredients. It aims to contribute to maintaining the skin’s moisture balance, increasing its elasticity, and reducing signs of aging. It is taken orally and is especially preferred as supportive care for skin types prone to dryness and moisture loss. The duration of use and dosage should be determined based on individual needs upon the recommendation of a healthcare professional.

Why is the trehalose molecule in its formula so important for our skin?

The most distinctive feature of this product and the secret of its success is that it combines high-concentration hyaluronic acid with a special molecule called “trehalose.” Trehalose is also known in the scientific world as the “resurrection sugar.” In nature, it is the substance that allows desert plants to survive for months without water and to come back to life when they meet water again.

For us, its importance is that it fights “glycation,” one of the biggest enemies in the skin’s aging process. Glycation is the process in which sugar in our body binds to proteins and hardens them. Just as an apple dipped in sugar darkens and hardens over time, collagen fibers in our skin also lose their flexibility and break due to glycation. Trehalose prevents this deterioration by forming a protective armor around cells and proteins. It also allows hyaluronic acid to remain in the tissue for a much longer time and takes its moisture-retention capacity to incredible levels.

The main benefits trehalose provides to the skin are:

  • Deep hydration
  • Cell membrane protection
  • Protein stabilization
  • Antioxidant effect
  • Prevention of glycation
  • Tissue renewal
  • Strengthening of the skin barrier

What kind of mechanism works under the skin during the treatment?

From the moment the injection is performed, a multifaceted repair process begins under the skin. Innea Aqua contains dual molecular weight hyaluronic acid. What does this mean? Some of the molecules in it are very small and descend into the deeper layers of the skin, binding to the fibroblast cells there. This binding gives the cells the command to “rejuvenate.” Stimulated fibroblasts begin to produce Type 3 collagen, which is abundant especially in baby skin. This type of collagen is the most valuable building block that provides the skin’s softness and elasticity.

On the other hand, the larger molecules in the product remain closer to the surface of the skin and serve as a scaffold. This scaffold mechanically prevents sagging while also creating an immediate feeling of tightness. Trehalose provides the moist and protected environment needed for this entire process to function healthily. As a result, your skin is not only hydrated, but also restructures from the inside out. Tissue quality increases, pores tighten, and the skin surface becomes smoother.

Which age groups and skin types are suitable for Innea Aqua?

When considered with the logic of preventive medicine, this treatment can be applied to almost everyone starting from the age of 25. However, the results we target and the treatment objectives differ in each age group.

For the group between 25 and 40 years of age, this application is an excellent preventive measure. In this period, deep wrinkles have not yet set in, but the skin begins to look tired. Especially city life, stress, sleeplessness, and blue light emitted by digital screens age the skin early. In this age group, our goal is to replenish the skin’s moisture reserves, add radiance, and delay the first signs of aging.

In patients between 40 and 60 years of age, the situation is somewhat different. Here, we now deal with loss of elasticity, sagging, and established lines. In this group, we use Innea Aqua to tighten the skin, soften the nasolabial areas, and lift sagging tissue upward.

The situations in which Innea Aqua application is recommended are:

  • Loss of elasticity
  • Skin dryness
  • Dull and lifeless appearance
  • Fine wrinkles
  • Superficial sagging
  • Acne scars
  • Sun damage
  • Neck lines
  • Aging of the back of the hands

What is the application technique like, and does the patient feel pain?

The biggest concern of our patients is usually the thought that needle procedures will be painful. However, Innea Aqua is applied with a special technique that prioritizes comfort. We call this the “6-Point Technique” or the BAP technique. With this method, we do not randomly insert needles all over the face. Based on the facial anatomical structure and lifting vectors, we make a small number of entries with very fine needles at strategic points we determine.

Applying to only 6 special points on each half of the face is sufficient. These points are junction points that allow the product to spread under the tissue in the best way. Because a small number of entries are made, the risk of bruising is minimal and the sensation of pain is almost negligible. Together with the local anesthetic creams we apply before the procedure, the process is extremely comfortable. The procedure takes an average of 15 minutes, and you can return to your social life immediately afterward.

The strategic areas where the application is performed are:

  • Cheekbone
  • Beside the nostril
  • In front of the ear
  • Jaw angle
  • Corner of the mouth
  • Beside the tip of the chin

When do the effects start to appear, and what is the duration of permanence?

The effect of Innea Aqua appears gradually, and this is the feature our patients love the most because the change occurs through a natural process. You will notice the first effect within a few days immediately after the procedure. This is the “hydration effect”; because your skin is saturated with moisture, it looks brighter, more vibrant, and more radiant. When you wake up in the morning, you feel that the tired expression on your face has faded.

However, the biological lifting and tightening effect we actually expect becomes noticeable in the 2nd and 3rd weeks as the cells produce new collagen. The texture of your skin changes, becoming firmer and plumper. We usually see the maximum effect at the end of the 1st month.

Although the duration of permanence varies depending on the person’s age, lifestyle, and skin quality, it is on average between 6 and 9 months. For an ideal result, we usually recommend 2 sessions at intervals of 3-4 weeks. In people whose skin is very worn, a 3rd session may be required. Afterward, in order to maintain continuity of the effect, administering single-session booster doses every 6 months is the most correct approach to stop the skin’s aging clock.

Are there any known side effects or risks of this procedure?

Since it is a medical procedure, safety is always our first priority. Innea Aqua is a reliable medical device produced with high purity, CE-approved and registered in the Ministry of Health Product Tracking System (ÜTS). Since the hyaluronic acid and trehalose in its content are naturally present in our body or fully compatible substances, the risk of allergy is extremely low.

We do not expect any serious side effects after the application. Mild redness or small bumps may be seen at the injection points, but these pass spontaneously within a few hours as the product spreads into the tissue. Rarely, small bruises may occur, which is inherent to needle procedures and can be easily covered with makeup.

Situations in which the application should not be performed are:

    • Pregnancy
    • Breastfeeding period
    • Active skin infections
    • Open wounds
    • Cancer treatment process
    • Severe autoimmune diseases
    • Allergy to product components

Can Innea Aqua be combined with other aesthetic procedures?

As plastic surgeons, we love holistic approaches. Innea Aqua is not only a powerful treatment on its own, but it is also a great complement when applied together with other procedures. For example, in a patient who has Botox, Botox relaxes the muscles and smooths wrinkles, while Innea Aqua increases the quality of the skin and provides an overall refreshment of the face.

Performing Innea Aqua after device-based applications that work by stimulating the skin, such as laser, radiofrequency (golden needle), or dermapen, accelerates the healing process and multiplies collagen production. In addition, it is a method we frequently use to prepare the skin before major surgical operations, such as facelift surgeries, or to increase the permanence of the result after surgery. It is an ideal option especially before the summer season to prepare the skin for the sun, or after returning from vacation to erase the drying effect of the sun.
